Lore of the Dress:

I wore this gorgeous robe while singing on a huge boat at Wonderfront Music Festival in San Diego. It was very windy on the boat & the robe was billowing in a way that made me feel like a fancy super hero. I got so many compliments on it.

I played two sets that day. I remember being in my little trailer & getting driven around on a golf cart backstage & feeling pretty happy & hopeful about playing my first festival in a while. The music industry can be a dangerous place for femmes & I took a big step back for a while to restructure my band, work on my sobriety & go to therapy. I want AMO AMO to be fun & sustainable for years to come. It’s always ok to take a break & recalibrate in order to return to your best self.

Lil John was performing at the same time as me out on the main festival stage so for about 3 minutes during the boat set while we passed by I just vibed out with everyone else on the boat because even from way out in the water it was so loud & there’s no way I wasn’t going to try to compete with Lil John live in the flesh.

It was so cold out on the water but the robe helped me to stay warm even though it is thin & lightweight. I am 5’7” tall & the robe is elegantly oversized & even drags on the ground ever so slightly so I recommend it with big shoes, or simply for a taller person or it’s also perfect just to wear at home.
